QuoteSQUAMATA - Arrogant absolute -tape. Brilliant noise tape! It has some wall-influences i suppose, rumbling, but far from static, things happening most of the time and lots of surprices. Not hectic like japnoise though. Is this a Finnish artist?

From Finland indeed. Demised? I hope not! 2-piece unit. They both got other activities as well: ABOVE SUSPICION, ANAL BARBARA, RADIO NOVA..    plus more??

Arrogant Absolute might be the only one in their discography that I do not own. First CDrs weakest ones otherwise quality noise!
Seen 3 times live. Short but sweet!

At some point some rumours about high profile LP release on excellent Japanese label.

Any news from Åbo?

I have a lot of unreleased great stuff in my possession, still waiting band to confirm what to do with it.
This is of their most powerful harsh noise era.

Squamata's side of the split with Gelsomina is the only thing I've heard of this project. Extremely impressed how someone could hold a candle to what I think was one of Pekka's best recordings before the project folder. If the un-released Squamata material is on par with that, it will be fucking awesome.
Shikata ga nai.

I have a couple of CDrs and a tape on Freak Animal , all good stuff ! Great junk metal abuse .
I traded with them a couple of times years ago i think , but then lost contacts . I hope they'll release new material .

I dare to say, it is even better? Material originally meant for couple different massive compilations that got cancelled, not their own release. Together sessions clock about 60 minutes.

Put it out on a c-60! The tape i have is really great! I´ll have to track down that split, what little i´ve heard from Gelsomina have been nice as well.
Is all their stuff in same style as this Arrogant Absolute tape? And how about the other projects, any good ones? (Anal Barbara...well...)

News of a new Squamata release is always appreciated. Almost everything they recorded was really top notch. Earlier material had a bit of cut-up junk metal manipulation. "Rust Fetish" is highly recommended for it's pacing. If I had to choose the weakest output it would be the 1st CDR along with the split tape with Terg. Regarding "Arrogant Absolute" it was a bit different from the rest of their material. Idea behind AA session from AE was described as "Arrogant attitude, no multi-tracking or editing." Along with "Rust Fetish" and "Into The Folds Of Angelic Skin" I would say it is the best of what they have released. Split CD with Gelsomina I should recheck as I don't remember much beside the initial shock of high volume.

Would love to see the finalized LP come out. Dogma Chase was supposed to issue it at one point if my memory is correct?

Aye. I was referring to this. Just wasnt sure if it can be mentioned. When BU LP was progressing on DOGMA CHASE I was told to :"Lets keep this under big secret"  heh

It is better! SQUAMATA really destroy on  that CD!

I have got the feeling they did record a LOT. Released less. Quality over quantity! Would be good advice to many (including me hah)
