I am compiling a compilation of Power Electronic and Industrial renditions of old trade union, communist, and anarcho-syndicalist anthems. In particular, I really want to hear such treatments of:

Solidarity Forever

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Solidarity_Forever

The Red Flag

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Red_Flag

The Internationale

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Internationale

Also of interest would be such songs as:

We Shall Not Be Moved
Roll The Union On
Join The Union
Union Maid
Talking Union
Union Train
Which Side Are You On

Get in touch if these songs have real meaning for you, and if you're interested in contributing something?

If not a finished piece, then let's do a collaboration together. Please send me vocals based on the above aforementioned songs, and we'll take it from there...

What about renditions of poems/songs from the original Luddites?

Apart from the international I never heard the English language version of these songs.
may anybody recommend some titles to give a listen to? are they based on the original Russian themes as most Italian version of socialist songs?
There is one interesting case, what in Italy is known as "O bella Ciao", today's probably most known partisan song, although there is a fascist version of that and the first known Italian version was actually sung by the "Mondine", women who used to work in rice fields (a sex symbol for kids of those years since they were working barefoot and with shorts)- The original song was Russian as well.

A bit of a favourite among some old-school reds in Australia as well, I first heard it on a picket line. A lot of old tunes where taken and re-lyricised in the old days; all this copyright and "intellectual property" bullshit was unheard of.
Shikata ga nai.

Yes. That is fine too. Been getting some great tracks in from people. Looks like this will end up being two different comps (one CD and one cassette) both on banned productions.

Soft deadline of May 31 is also now in affect.

That is all..

Based on what has been sent in so far, as long as you "shout" the lyrics instead of "singing" them, it will not sound funny-ha-ha.

I'm completing a noise rendition of The Internationale, and I like you all to be part of it.

Just send me a recording of yourself screaming out the lyrics. Either by link or by CDR.

Send a wav file (or link) to gxAT jupitter-larsen DOT com

Send a CDR to:

Deadline is June 30. THANKS!

No other noise, just your voice yelling out the words. Really, that's all. If I use your voice, I'll make sure you get a copy of the finished release.

Arise ye workers from your slumbers
Arise ye prisoners of want
For reason in revolt now thunders
And at last ends the age of cant.
Away with all your superstitions
Servile masses arise, arise
We'll change henceforth the old tradition
And spurn the dust to win the prize.

    So comrades, come rally
And the last fight let us face
The Internationale unites the human race.
    So comrades, come rally
And the last fight let us face
The Internationale unites the human race.

No more deluded by reaction
On tyrants only we'll make war
The soldiers too will take strike action
They'll break ranks and fight no more
And if those cannibals keep trying
To sacrifice us to their pride
They soon shall hear the bullets flying
We'll shoot the generals on our own side.

No saviour from on high delivers
No faith have we in prince or peer
Our own right hand the chains must shiver
Chains of hatred, greed and fear
E'er the thieves will out with their booty
And give to all a happier lot.
Each at the forge must do their duty
And we'll strike while the iron is hot.

Both have been released on banned. A 7 inch of Die Arbeiter von Wien is in the works, and will be released on Fragment Factory.

Not everything submitted has been used yet, and I'm still open to more submissions for future volumes of this project.

The 3rd installment in my series of union anthems, Die  Arbeiter von Wien (The Workers of Vienna) has just been released on FRAGMENT FACTORY: http://tiny.cc/uns8k

This 7 inch is a collaboration between myself and MUENNICH, and I couldn't be happier with the way it turned out. One side has the original german lyrics, while the other side has the lyrics translated into english.
