Ideal has never been a label that I've heard mentioned in "Rip Offs", I imagine they will deliver (maybe later than expected in this case) I don't know what was promised format wise but there are many technical things that could slow a project to a halt from artist stuff to manufacturing.

These sort of year long investments, Bandcamp subscription services and stuff I think help fulfill more ambitious label goals (like the 10 CD set mentioned above) but personally I dislike the model. It's similar to a preorder but with more room for hiccups. It's more like patronage.
With a label as serious as they seem and reputation as good as there's though I think you can remain confident you will not be ripped off. And while I understand your frustration at that situation, I'd probably advise you to be cautious of any of these preorder and subscription models in the future.
