Demonic Compulsion has been sharpening its audial knives since their highly promising debut EP that Cyclopean Eye released in 2021. Mr. Didez / DeKay has not been wasting time playing around, but conjured up a strong debut, which expands all the strengths the maniacs were able to behold 3 years ago. Blasts of hammering drums mingle with unhinged guitar riffs and various Industrial Noise elements while proud Vocals recite unholy verses. Everything flows together nicely, making "Abomination Glory" a truly sublime tapestry of black bile.

Scum should be known to anyone interested in the diverse world of Harsh Noise, since he has not only teamed up with some of the biggest pioneers of the genre, but has also done notable releases on some of the most prestigious labels in the field. As usual, this Japanese rising star manages to capture full-on brutality but still merge it with the utmost precision and pacing – truly enticing! Scatmother explores semi-experimental soundsources which the well-known brutalist from Germany has arranged to his trademark Power Electronics structures. Recurring synthlines, bursts of Feedback and unhinged bestial vocals conjure up feelings of apocalyptic despair and dark parallel worlds reminiscent of Japanese horror tropes.
In many ways, this Scatmother / scum split continues in the vein that made Post Industrial great in its earliest days. Different ends of the spectrum, both brought to perfect fruition by genuine enthusiasts who express themselves beyond all artistic boundaries. The tape is highly limited and expected to go fast.
