Skeleton Dust is honored to reissue two essential noise works from Japanese legend Kazumoto Endo, "While You Were Out", originally released in 1999 on BOXmedia/Philosophy Shop and "Brick And Mortar", originally released in 2003 on Rhystop.
While You Are Out is a pinnacle album in Endo's discography; a defining moment where the violent, erratic noise of Endo's first project Killer Bug is leashed and controlled, yet still powerful as ever and executed with the greatest of timing and precision. Also present is a palpable sense of humor and light-heartedness, a welcome and hard-to-find quality in so much other extreme noise and related genres.
Despite being produced in an ample edition of 500 copies, Brick And Mortar has become a very rare and sought-after CD for noise collectors...until now. Stylistically, it is a follow-up to While You Were Out, released 4 years prior. It's any mystery why this album isn't more talked about in noise circles as it is on the same level of masterful quality as the more well-known While You Were Out.
Both CD reissues are limited to 300 copies each and include an art layout replicating the original artwork, presented in a 6-panel digipak, with While You Were Out containing additional photos not included in the original release. Layout by Roger Owsley.
