Drum n bass and hardcore techno are the two biggest influences on all my music. Tech Itch specifically has had a profound impact on the sounds, atmospheres and themes in my own work. His expert use of distortion on synths and breaks and his deft balancing in both mixing and the elements used... inspiring.
Similarly outsized in influence, all eras of Autechre. Ae taught me how to listen attentively to long songs, while being so good at what they do that 10 minute songs seem too short.
