GERSTEIN - Lie In Her Grave 1986 - 1987 CD to be released on Bestial Burst, summer 2026.
Another unearthed treasure from the Italian Tape Archives. Gerstein, a project started in 1985 by an ever-evolving experimental artist, originally released this collection of early recordings in 1987.
A dynamic set of dark noise and vintage industrial steeped in the gloomy atmosphere of the 80s underground tape-trading scene. Haunting piano passages intertwine with tormented vocals and harsh electronics, evoking early death industrial and the sinister mood of a Nekromantik-style soundtrack. Elsewhere, rhythmic industrial elements emerge in the tradition of Coil and Psychic TV.
The release concludes with a highly experimental field recording capturing the sounds of newborn babies on a balcony - an unexpected and surreal ending.
Carefully remastered while preserving the original dynamics. Includes original cassette artwork, rare photographs, and liner notes. A true vintage document of the underground.
