SOFT OPTION KILLING - Every Brutal Act a Service, C40 is out Monday 29/4.

It's been three years since the last release from SOK and the long silent period hasn't tempered the bleakness of this project. Every Brutal Act a Service displays an even more barren sound than his previous Rogue State tape. SOK remains one of the unknown masters of UK industrial.

For anyone into true old school industrial this should be an essential release! Limited to 121 copies.

picked it out my mailbox today and gave it a first spin : didn't know the project, but this is great....i can only call it 'industrual', it's not pe, no noise, not dark ambient, it has everything and nothing .......sampled intro of side A sets a Death Squad-tone but rest is pounding industrial, stript to a minimum without sounding thin. Side B more 'death industrial' ? low droning, scraping, high schrieking & vocals screaming.....

me like!

I received it too, the other day, and listened to it yesterday. Also the first time I've heard this act. I really liked it! It is very restrained and sparse, but still gives a powerful impression. The A-side with its subdued, yet crushing, low-end pulses and the occasional addition of more piercing, high-frequency layers is particularly interesting. It's the kind of thing I'd love to hear live! The B-side is slightly more conventional, but still great and seem very well composed and balanced, instead of cranking everything into the red and cram as much as possible into the sound.

I also dig the artwork a lot! Nice and classy, on thick, glossy paper, but without seeming "luxurious".
