From 1971 to 1973, Eleanor Antin made undertake with 100 wellingtons a travel going from California to New York. During this travel it put them in scenes in various American landscapes by telling each time a little story whose boots are the hero. It resulted from this experiment 51 photographic postcards representatives the boots which were sent to several thousands of specimens throughout the world.
