I am curious about your opinion on: how the music magazines / fanzines (can) influence on quality of music (noise/industrial)? If such magazines as SPECIAL INTERESTS are able to improve the quality of music, composers? If so, in what range?

icepick method

Hopefully by shining a light on the dark little circle jerk that is micro scenes. Insert a dissenting voice into the feedback loop. If you tell them how lazy they are they'll work harder to prove you wrong.  Sure you should support your local artists, encourage them to try harder, let them know when they're not up to par, ask them if this is up to their own standards, if it met or exceeded their expectations, was it a deliberate composition or jam session  fuckery, if fuckery could it be made more interesting after a trip to the editing room. is this one of those 50 copy cdr's thrown out there to pad your discography while more discerning bands would have left it in the vault/garbage?

Demand better, don't be afraid to hurt someone's feelings. Aggressive music should be able to take aggressive criticism. If an artist can't stand behind their work or defend it they didn't have the confidence in their abilities at the time of conception either and it shows in the work. If I put your record on in the presence of a noise aficionado who had heard your other work and they couldn't tell me who they were listening to, would you still consider the album unique, a success? Are you contributing anything to the advancement of your craft our just coasting on others coattails as an also-ran? Is this all you aspire to? Have you ever considered attempting to surpass your idols? Why not?
