Lots of raw and great stuff from the Grey Wolves crew done over the years, what remains far away from the glory & fame what GW enjoys.
Just listened Irritant / Ramleh split tape. Zero Cabal version, which is different from original Extreme release and Sound of Pig tape. 2 long tracks, clocking about 30 minutes in total. Starts with obligatory nostalgic euro hymn and two tracks, "British Blood" and "Assault Systems" are back-to-basics electronic noise. Perhaps radio static. Perhaps synth. Feedback, distant vocal assaults. Somewhere in nature of Victor/im, Ramleh at their most lo-fi, early days Con-Dom, etc.
I'm checking out discogs, and noticed these two same tracks seem to appear on AWB's version Irritant/Lovelace split tape? There is two other tapes, "Mesmerised" on Broken Flag and "Disaster Area" on Victor/im's label simply called V. Latter seems like C-90, BF, who knows.. I wonder how are they? I've liked all I hear. It's really disturbing, cheap and "unappealing" to anyone but those who seek for most damaged PE sounds.
Most noteworthy of these early projects what many happened before GW did the "comeback" of theirs in form of PE band (as opposed to early style).
