It is hard to consider this a "release", as the only true home for HOTD is on a physical medium, but I've been out of the record label network and am not able to put it out myself. I'd rather it be heard in its entirety by now than not.
This is the opposite approach to what I was doing before HOTD went publicly silent, where there were endless splicing of details, intense dynamics, and destructive noise to go along with the serene moments. This was recorded to analog 4-track with no post-production, only guitar, vocals, spun/brushed cymbal, objects, and simple effects put to tape. It is an ambient album but with a raw atmosphere that is unlike most ambient recordings made with guitar. The guitar is actively played on most of this (through thick effects) to create hypnotic melodies, not just volume knob drone.
The last two SNSE LPs and the Abisko tape have now been uploaded to bandcamp as well.
