Just listend his newish tape "Relax". Returning back in action, this comes from summer 2015. I always considered project to be promising, but feels like they never really claimed it. This new tape is really nice surprise. It's not so often when bands have break in activity, that they would return with added brutality. First track of the tape is pretty decent harsh noise and for my surprise, it seems more "hand made" or lively action that what I associated past Mixturizer works to be.
Highlight is the 2nd track. It is like reply to some of better works of Masonna. Perhaps less dominating amount of vocals, but nevertheless, utterly piercing feedback, screaming, frantic noise action that appears to operate most of all in one clear layer. Nothing is drenched into echoes or muddy dense mass. Everything is right there clearly in your face. Noise flow very freely, without focusing on loops or repeating patterns. Also moments which appear close to synths, seems rather effected feedback. Sonic quality is most of all what seems improved. Maybe it is also thanks to all-on-red dubbed chrome tapes what gives the ripping quality to it. Critical evaluation would probably conclude that there's nothing new here. Just same old noise, but something just hits me so directly.
It makes me think did I miss some crucial moments of this project? Is it really simply just much better than before or did I ignore some of his better past releases?
