GRATEFUL DÄD – ELECTRICFUNREAL LP/CD

Behind the alias Grateful Däd hides Sami Karttunen, a musician from Tampere, Finland. He creates versatile electronic music with children's toys. The new album Electricfunreal continues further from Moomin Valley of the Dolls (2014), improving its best features and also adding new elements. The musical feeling has moved towards more peaceful and ambient-style soundscapes. The record includes also some quite surprising moments and is challenging enough for the listener. The compositions can be classified as noise, but there is softness, melody and even rhythm too. This feeling can also be sensed during gigs, and Grateful Däd is performing quite often also after this release.
The Album was recorded during summer 2015 and January 2016 in Sami's home.
Danish born artist Richard Jensen is responsible for the cover art.
