I'm really interested in Slug, never heard them. anyone got any recommendations? what do they sound like?

Mikerdeath

Crash Worship is one of my favorites.

I recently got tipped off to Jon Custodian's new project Kathogah
pretty fucking well done Godflesh worship.

Slug wasn't much different than Unsane (they did a split). More so-called 'noise rock'.

checked em out last night by plugging my phone into my stereo (cpu doesn't have speakers), not bad, but i guess i wanted something more...probably won't investigate em much further, i was just curious since D. Romero was in em.

thanks guys

Wild Rags released their Extinction Is Mandatory album in 1995 (http://www.metal-archives.com/albums/Landfill/Extinction_Is_Mandatory/102368). It's been ages since I heard the album but I remember it being quite average Godflesh worship. Bastard Nailed In Wood was one of the better songs on the album.

I don't think I saw Halo mentioned, which would be my first entry in the Godflesh worship sweepstakes.

Admittedly, this track

...is a little more Godfleshy, as it tends to sound a tad more electronic, versus the more sludgy or swansesque sound found elsewhere.

EDIT

Talking Godflesh worship, this song always makes me laugh - mostly because the only words I could ever make out were "Godflesh!":

(To be played in conjunction with this one, 'natch:

)

But ZG tracks like "Shoot Me With Your Blood" (HAHAHA!) are actually pretty great.

How about SPINE WRENCH, and SIN who they did a split with.

WT Nelson's side project GERONIMO cd can suit this branch of sounds.

I do not want to compare it to other projectsbut put me in the same mood of when I was listening the more instrumental part of Godflesh.

precise drumming, loud bass and plenty of trogotronic noise, menacing atmosphere, especially in the second part of the cd. good one

as much as I love Godflesh (probably my most all time scrobbled artist aside from Black Sabbath on last.fm), what's some stuff that still utilizes drum machines and synths but falls outside of this but is also brutal like Godflesh, just doesn't sound like mere "worship"
