ruido horrible ::: new release ::: 2015-2016

I haven't posted in a while, but we've had quite a few things released at ruido horrible, mostly sold locally. rhcd001 ruido horrible x: diez años de ruido horrible

Without necessarily meaning to, this CD portrays a wide extension of the current Mexican scene. Having as its primal intention to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the ruido horrible label, this compilation features 18 extreme music performers (16 Mexican and only 2 others hailing from other Latin American provenance), whose takes on sonic radicalism go from hardcore-noise crossover to harsh noise, the common ground being an expensive take on the possibilities of sound and their intensive participation in the local underground as performers, producers, collaborators, and publishers. Herein can be found the mutant tape based electronica of legendary  abstract electronics artist .RR, the brutal and filth ridden power electronics of Vulgar Disease, the dizzying, extreme vocal and electronic mashup of Cacophonic Joy and the virtuoso harsh noise performance of 886VG, along many local stalwarts. CD in digipak.

rh093 Macronympha – Tortura y venganza: Brutal massacre C90

No need for an introduction, harsh noise maestros Macronympha's new release is composed of two lengthy tracks (over 40 mins each) of tunnelic sound debris. Fast evolving and hypnotic, sometimes almost static-like, this is a great release by the new lineup, which includes Leonardo Sabatto (Armenia) alongside Joe Roemer. Garish art by Rodrigo Ambriz. 60 copies.

rh058 PBK & Hal McGee - Hazard Identification System C60*

"Hazard Identification System" is the first collaborative release by long standing audio experimentalists PBK and Hal McGee; it registers McGee's live processing of original PBK recordings while on a walk through the campus of the University of Florida. C60 of absorbing murky, lo-fi, wall-ish noise.

rh074 Ratbag & MS Miroslaw - Live at Loophole C60*

A 30-minute set of ritualistic and ominous, heavily delayed dark electronics and guitar, captured live at Loophole in Berlin by these two artists. Ratbag is the solo project of Julian Percy, who has also played with Helaas and Last Dominion Lost, among others, while M.S. Miroslaw is an obscure Italian project, whose recent long playing debut has been regarded by the very Julian Cope a "sweet necessity".

rh089 Dave Phillips - At the Heart of It All Pro-CDr*

CDR in 4-panel colour cardboard sleeve with a booklet containing photos by dp & a b/w text booklet.

Released by ruido horrible/mexico & ruidolatino/colombia on december 2013
edition of 300.

'at the heart of it all' contains sounds recorded in the Yasuni national park/Ecuador and tells the story of the Yasuni-ITT initiative.

During 5 days in chuallacocha (bordering on the Yasuni national park) dp records sounds of the hoatzin, long-nosed bat, black caiman, screaming piha, speckled chachalaca, red howler monkey, oropendola, white-throated toucan, macaw (to name but a few), treefrogs and riverfrogs at night, countless avians and legions of insects. All audio used for this release has been equalised and layered, other than that it has not been touched, no effects nor any other manipulations or sound-altering techniques have been implemented. This audio is arranged into two pieces, one with daytime sounds and one with night recordings. These recordings depict a rich and intense sonic world of an area maybe soon gone...
