Tärr review for the cassette that also came out in 2010
http://www.vitalweekly.net/740.htmlHis cassette is just over twenty minutes and its an odd electronic one. Some parts only seem exist on one channel, and then on the other. Its hard to say what it is that he uses here, instrument wise. It might be pure electronics, but also some sort of laptop doodling, which I don't know. The outcome, quite abstract electronics, which fail to be ambient, drone or noise, but rather cleverly seem to combine every aspect of those interests. Maybe a cruder form of Hafler Trio, I was thinking, but that's never a bad thing. Very nice.

Tärr provides some really good feedback, glacial drones. Elaine Radigue instantly came to mind, but more palatable than her dense catalog. It's the kind of tape you can put on while doing other things, but it sticks right with you the entire time, letting the build up grow with you.
"My Own Body and The Automobile" starts off like it's down the hall, a smidge of feedback that seems to get smaller and smaller the closer you listen, it begs for you to focus. And when it switches louder, that initial buzz is still in the background, accompanying a more focused turn of varying amplification.
