Titan Arch - Hardaï (Mdrgr-003)

"Cynopolis was the Greek name for the ancient Egyptian town of Hardai - "city of the dog"- in the seventeenth nome of Upper Egypt, was home to the cult of Anubis, a canine-shaped deity.

This tape was composed while the wild dogs surrounded me. Four tracks to maintain eye contact with the rotten face of time. An open cleft to leave behind a year of loss.

Co-released with Black Horizons.

"A long form split, with several previous appearances from Thoabath, and a first time appearance for the in-house Black Horizons death industrial / dub unit; SOOT. The Thoabath side recorded in San Juan, Puerto Rico, cover art photography from Martinique, and the fact that it is split with Puerto Rican label Madriguera give this release a Caribbean flavor. SOOT presents a side long ritual dance meditation on death with Decay. Red vellum and bronze metallic custom fold over j-cards and booklet with digital printing. Edition of 100 copies on gold tapes with red labels."

Distro Update

"The Harvest of a Quiet Eye" is Opal Tapes' new massive compilation, which includes 18 artists spread over two cassettes.

Most tracks fall under the drone/ambient categories, but for a few beat-oriented tracks. The label describes it best as "18 tracks of almost entirely baggy pants droners and a little bit of banger for the cycling shorts lot."

The cover artwork (by Darren Adcock) and the tape shells' artwork (by Noah Brown) are both fantastic, making this compilation a must have.

We have very limited copies and this is almost sold out from the label, so don't hesitate to grab a copy!
