Just gave the new CD a listen. Eric continues to show a unique capacity for novelty. This is what you might imagine the natural progression of his work to sound like, still oddly crude, but somehow updated. The looping occasionally is met with percussive sounds that gives it a 'musical feel' at times. This is may get at what I had referred to recently as a 'post-information music' (in contrast to 'post-industrial music,' i.e. noise). As always, Lunde offers us something very unusual. If you expect a mid-80s release, you'll be disappointed. But why should you?
