I hope this is the appropriate place to post this.  Please move it or inform me if not!

Controlled Bleeding are back with a fresh lineup and forthcoming recordings. I talked to Paul Lemos about the band's new direction as well as their history, placing a special emphasis on CB's power electronics material. Take a look!

This is the first entry in a column for the Phoenix entitled "Boston Blackout". It's an interview and live review series devoted to power electronics and (real) black metal, though I'll be covering other forms of noise and extreme metal as well. I aim to document the local scene as well as interview artists who are passing through Boston, and my next interview is a discussion with Egan Budd of Existence Establishment/Xiphoid Dementia and Michael Page of Fire in the Head/Sky Burial regarding the recently-inaugurated vinyl series MA/PE/FU.
