E. Packain, a multifaceted Finnish artist, probably better known from his involvement in the Black Metal circles for the past +20 years. The tapes are an introduction into his experimental sombre soundscapes evoking a sense of mystery and deep melancholia, as well as burning and boiling threat of unknown horror, everything being primarily created with DIY instruments and percussions, loops and tape manipulations. No computers or softwares or plug-ins involved. The putrid and unclean production gives the music a very old and hand-crafted tone. Often cinematic and mesmeric, always ominous and poisonous.
One way to describe this material would be to imagine if Kenneth Anger begun a new film project and asked William Basinski, Wojciech Kilar, Deutsch Nepal and Moëvöt to get together to create the soundtrack, released by Nekrophile Rekords.
