On November 10, 2012, at 17.30, Anykščiai Culture House (A. Baranausko sq. 2) will host The Machine Started To Flow Into A Vein (Vol. 3) presenting a legendary project of surrealistic electronic music – Nurse With Wound. The ace of the band Steven Stapleton actively performing since 1979 has dozens of records in his discography, collaborates with other artists and performs in Europe's and USA's largest festivals of alternative music.
Andrew Liles from UK and two projects from Lithuania – Skeldos and Dimeth Trip – will also take part in the festival.
An international event The Machine Started To Flow Into A Vein (Vol. 3) is delivered by Moontrix, an experimental audiovisual organisation, in collaboration with Anykščiai Culture Centre and Anykščiai City Municipality. The premier gigs of the thematic performances The Machine Started To Flow Into A Vein took place in Vilnius in 2006 and 2011.
Nurse With Wound was started in London in 1978. The former band's lineup was as follows: Steven Stapleton, John Fothergill and Heman Pathak. Since 1981 only one member, S. Stapleton, has remained. However, ever since, the records of the Nurse With Wound are being featured by various famous artists. Through his long-lasting career, Steven Stapleton was collaborating with such bands as Current93, Coil, Hafler Trio, Stereolab, Organum and others. A kernel of the band performing for the first time in Lithuania will consist of ideological leader S. Stapleton, Collin Potter and Andrew Liles.
Nurse With Wound was deeply influenced by krautrock movement. However, one could find enough free-style improvisation, such elements as avant-garde, industrial, noise, dark ambient and drone in their music.
Lithuanian wing of the experimental music festival The Machine Started To Flow Into A Vein (Vol. 3) will be represented by Vytenis Eitminavičius' project Skeldos and the Dimeth Trip.
