I've been meaning to check out this project.  I rarely hear/see any mention.  Recommendations?

Thanks.

"Pine Tree State Mind Control uses Subliminal Messages and Hypnosis Techniques to create a happier, more productive society.  Fitting in equally poorly on bills with bands of the diverse industrial dance, powernoise, power electronics, idm, harsh noise, and experimental genres, Pine Tree State Mind Control has presented at Fests throughout the Northeast US as well as 75% of COMA shows in Montreal (Precursor to Kinetik Festival). PTSMC shows are part motivational program, part psychological experiment. Nobody dances. Everyone smiles."

i absolutely love these guys.  i've had the pleasure of performing with them dozens of times over the past 10 years or so.  eric & mike are good people.

it's likely due to the seminar/lecture aspect of their live performance, but they're one of the only noise acts i've ever seen who can keep a full audience's attention at all times.  last time i saw them (november 2012) they incorporated a chainsaw and a severed cow's head into the act when discussing the "shocking" aspects of noise and power electronics (or music in general, i think they talked about lady gaga and her "shocking" outfits and shit).  good stuff.  they're also one of the last acts that i know of who will still do guerrilla style performances ... we played a fest together last summer, and their performance was done across the street in a public park, with dozens of hispanic children running around, their parents trying to hold them back in fear.  they did break a shit ton of glass, destroy everything they brought as well as stuff they found, and encouraged the audience to run up to strangers and scream in their faces (which we all did) though, so i kinda get it.

no cow's head or destruction in this one, but still worth a watch: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PZF5gHj3Hls

as far as albums to check out, i'd start with "vast right wing conspiracy", "liberal media bias" or "experience the joy" ...

it looks like their official website is down, which is a shame; they had lots of good "propaganda" essays on there.
