New Forces 3
The third edition of New Forces includes interviews with Heinz Hopf, Developer, Murderous Vision, and a transcription of an audio interview Richard Ramirez did that was included in the Black Leather Jesus - In/Out of Uniform retrospective released in 2000. In addition Brad Griggs returns to cover his favorite harsh noise after the year 2000, Joe Roemer's (Macronympha) top 100 noise list is included in checklist form for the nerdy harsh noise fans, alongside the usual reviews and other misc. content. 28 pages on 8.5/11 paper, like the last two issues. 5.50$ postage paid in the US, 8.50$ postage paid international.
Action/Discipline - Hard LessonAction/Discipline is a harsh noise collaboration of Brad Griggs and Stefan Aune (Breaking The Will), and "Hard Lesson" is the debut release of the project. Harsh noise that draws inspiration from Macronympha and Dead Body Love, a collision of scrap metal, feedback, and violent sound.

Each artist presents something unique, but all four tracks form a cohesive whole. I can't speak to my own contribution, but Ahlz, Brad Griggs and Developer each present their strongest possible material.

Each new release seems to improve upon an already strong foundation, and "Bones of Regret" is no different. 3 tracks of brooding, slow-moving harsh noise that focuses on minimal textures and feedback to create an incredible cycle of tension and release. Plague Mother tracks evolve so skillfully that you often find yourself in the midst of a wall of noise, unaware of how you got there. For fans of Skin Graft and earlier Prurient.
