I assume that's the Barbarossa on OEC? What's it like? I got one of their CDrs on Skullline, and it was OK, but nothing too exciting.
Also got from Skullline a Striider CDr called 'Heimweh', and although I got it a while ago, I've only just been playing it - y'know, one of them things wrapped in a (Dutch) flag, bound w/ a banderole, etc. that seemed a bit of hassle to undo carefully!
Well, anyway, it's certainly heavy on the ambience - great, poisonous clouds of it - with lots of samples of 'war' sounds (shooting, shouting, etc.), muffled drumming, distant thuds, old speeches, and in one place, a flute band, if I remember rightly. Very cinematic, with the drones, in most cases, a fog enveloping the 'action'. One track is an ultra deep bass drone that really rips through the speakers - though this could actually be due to the shitty CDr quality...
Actually, that's my only complaint w/ this - the shitty CDr. Skullline releases a lot of stuff, some it very tasty. However, maybe a bit more quality control, including CDs?
Oh well, you can't have everything. Probably not as good as the Kreigsfall-U one you mention, but it surpassed expectations (based on the 'Bunkermusic' one on Steinklang).
