H2n indeed. Old one has MUCH less battery time. It's not very handy thing if you're on longer trip and 2 basic batteries are empty in something like 4 hours? In H2n you can record about 24 hours with same batteries! With decent size memory card, you can fit in several dozens of hours of CD quality sound. I guess my own takes about 50 hours.
All recording functions works faster and easier with H2n than H2. Recording level function is without steps, and no need to navigate any menus. It has internal speaker, so in in some cases (like interviews) you don't necessary need headphones to check that recording sounds ok. Of course it's not too good speaker, but at least there is one.
So if one would have to think to buy old model cheaply, or H2n for little bit more, I'd recommend the new one. You'll save the money with batteries very quickly and handy systems is worth of it anyways.
So what is minus? Microphone in is "only" stereo-minijack. Same for line-in. For experts, you could want more heavy duty line inputs. But I never was dissatisfied with mini-jack quality.
