The Vinland Special Services was the experimental power electronics project founded by the owner of the controversial black metal label Winter Solace productions, and his music, like anything else that label has done has been misunderstood and labeled racist by people who choose to put labels on things they do not understand. When the original cassette of this was released it received zero promotion despite it being sent to people like Ron Lessard who others claim is "supportive of new artists" and other such persons who just ignored it as any kind of public association with this project might effect somebodies cash flow. Labels released this project only to never listen to the finish product, refused to promote it or like many people never understood what was happening here. The VSS ended in 2014 and this album has been released after being in production hell for some years with the recording artist having no idea where or how to promote his own music.
The subject of North Korea is misunderstood, people choose to glorify this pathetic country in an attempt to identify with some anti-American extremism or to be closer to the lie that is Marxism. This album is sound art dedicated to the true reality of this country lost upon the world. The first and only anti DPRK themed concept album, recorded at a time when tensions between America and North Korea where at an all time high over materials bigger then trivial leftist hollywood propaganda.
