I just wanted to draw attention to this label, as I think it's totally fucking killer on every level.
As full disclosure, I have a release coming out soon with them, but still, some of their releases even before I was asked to do something, will be on my top 10 year end list.
http://tymbaltapes.bandcamp.com/Limiti Di Scadenza and The Department of Harmonic Integrity tapes, to be specific.
They are now doing pre-orders for a 3xCS set by Bran (...) Pos and a cassette by a Romanian act that doesn't work on the internet. They have a spokesperson who handles their business. Or so it would seem.
The guy who runs it, Scott Scholz, has been writing reviews and doing podcasts for experimental music and noise for years now. His tastes and his label reflect a complete disregard for fads and only purely visionary works. Also notable, is there is no sense of the label releasing material by friends as charity, nor is there a feeling of a label releasing material by well-established artists for money. It is purely about what this person feels needs to be exposed, and it's more obvious than many other labels I pay attention to.
The art is always done professionally by the same artist, with some conceptual guidance (at least in my case). Printed on textured linen paper with some pewter, silver, or bronze ink.
