Only knew him through online contact from half a lifetime ago or so, but this affected me. Cancelling tonight's planned posting on other topics.

Likewise I only knew him online through social media, but he was one of the first to take an interest in my music and we even talked about a split release in the past (between conversations about snake keeping).

Halthan releases on F&V and Nil By Mouth are great in my book. A good legacy was left behind with those.

Damn, that's really sad news!

Somehow I always really liked the records I know, and returned to them when the mood was right, though of course they had its flaws, but I think that was also part of the charm and individuality of Halthan.

I'll surely play some records in memory and respect this weekend.

This really hit home... literally... Met him on multiple occasions, always friendly and nice towards a nobody like myself.

He was one of the "big boys" of Finnish noise/PE scene in my eyes. Nothing but respect towards the man.
