hey all! started this on another noise forum but does anybody know any acts like the ones in the subject that deal with true crime topics? I know it's an overdone topic in noise but I still find it interesting if done right. Thanks in advance!

This might be a good moment to mention Finnish anonymous project Cadaver Gutter. Not many releases, but the tape "Humanity Is Overrated" is based on Finnish school shooting by Pekka-Eric Auvinen. Happened in 2007 and still resonates here. It was the first school shooting of this scale here. Track titles:

Natural Selection
Humanity Is Overrated
Shooting Begins 11:19 am
Feeling Filthy

true crime is the quintessence of power electronics as well as deviant sexuality and unpc topics
con-dom acts of faith 3" is a super classic on the topic

There is the anonymous Ottis In The Woods project on Filth & Violence all about Ottis Toole that might be worth checking out
Que Sera, Sera (Things Go From Bad To Worse)

Cranial Blast

Uncodified / Wertham Vindicta I-III comes to mind straight away for me when I think of this topic. Those three albums are definitely worth checking out especially if you're looking for that true crime type of element.

What is the case acts of faith is based on?

tiny_tove

different cases, the most exciting one is Indian sk the stoneman, but also canadian mass murderer Marc Lépine who was in the actual picture of the record

Cranial Blast

Hospital Productions put out this awesome tape by Murder Machine a little while back called Take A Baseball Bat To The Whole City. Has a nice special package with painting of Alphonse Capone with necklace around portrait holding tape. It's very crude sounding material and dealing with the aesthetics of 1920's Chicago. Loads of violent gangster crime during the prohibition era, which is an era in American history I'm very fascinated with, so this tape I bought straight away and it did not disappoint!

Penon

First, I feel awkward plugging in my own work here, when acts mentioned above are mainly genre legends. Second, other than war crimes, I never felt I connected with the topic of true crime enough to create something sensible and innovative.

Now, one thing I have done is the song that fantasizes about how last day (or rather last 12 hours leading up to the event) could look like for one of the victims of 2012 Aurora, Colorado mass shooting. It could be very pleasant and happy day. It could be a perfect day.

What is the case acts of faith is based on?

The first on is based on 1989's École Polytechnique massacre carried out by antifeminist Marc Lépine. There is a lot of good information on this particular case on the Internet, and while it might seem as if the person in question had been moved by outright misoginy, according to Wikipedia and etc. he had some sort of psychotic attack while unconsciously introjecting the persona of his abusive father, thus resulting in a cataclysm of hatred unparalled. I once found a detailed article of his person, being described as the "first incel". Pretty good stuff, huh?

The second track is about an unidentified serial killer of Calcutta, named as "The Stoneman", who was speculated to have committed a series of murders of homeless people by pounding large rocks onto their heads. I guess the lyrics to this particular song are a reading of a news report on the case. At least it sounds like.

The third one deals with the Hungerford massacre, in which 27-year-old Michael Ryan shot and killed sixteen people, including his own mother, and then blew his brains out. I don't know much about these two last cases, though. At some point at Hungry for Death, it seems as if Mike says (ironically enough) "Mom, I'll kill you... I'll enjoy that."

Acts of Faith is probably my most listened Con-dom release. Absolutely devastating depiction of the uttermost cruelty.
