I was in Venice and I liked the performance a lot. Anyone else on this forum was there? Because I'm afraid, I can't describe it well enough. But I'll try...
At the beginning, Keiji Haino somehow "crawled" through the audience to the stage hammering on a metal plate and "altered" the sounds from moving it with his hand. After that, he hammered on other instruments and bells or whatever that was, occasionally screaming and singing in pure Haino style. At the end of the first half, he left the stage and before that let the electronics only create some kind of a rhythmic drone. After entering the stage again, he wore something like sensors on his arms, that triggered percussion tones.
All in all, always an adventure to see and listen to him.
On a sidenote - he is 74 now, he jumped up and down sometimes like a young man. I am some years younger, but I would have ended in hospital for sure, if I would have performed something like this.
