100% agreed. Such a great series of collaborations.

As I type the very recent Geld Ist Alles is playing.

(Holy fuck this is loud! 😂 I had to greatly lower my usual "morning volume".)

This seems to be a mixed-hybrid of recent live things, and the liner notes make it sound like more along these lines is coming. That's wonderful news, because this is great. My first late/recent K2. Clearly this guy is not sipping tea at Berwick.*

As I type CD1 of the 2CD Early Kinky Works 1983-1988 is playing.

57min.

There's some fun/silly bits amongst some seriously good early K2 works here. Rock+Roll, Techno, Dronage. It's like wandering through a junkyard. Never boring!

I can't do HNW all day!

CD2 tonight.

As I type CD2 of the above is playing.

59min.

I love how this one starts. Very Acid Motherly. Chanting (track 1) leads right into to an epic, eerie drone (track 2).

CD1 was early morning and quiet. Now I'm early evening and loud.

Yeah the start of this might be some of the greatest K2 ever. Fuuuuck! After the epic track 2 we go into some weirdass blues. Makes Captain Beefheart sound like Phil Collins.

Jesus! Disc 1 didn't do a lot for me this morning. Was I in the wrong mood? Or is disc 2 murdering disc 1? This is fucking great.

And then a seamless transition into some kind of techo blues/rock. It's all flowing so perfectly. Fuck! I seriously need to hear disc 1 again soon - loud.

Then an industrial / machine kind of drone piece. Followed by a percussive / feedback stoner rock thing.

This could be the greatest 2hrs of K2 ever!! (Even though a lot of it is atypical.)

The remainder of this brilliant hour sees some flamenco type stuff (I'm not kidding!) and a Hendrix sounding thing. And even some Avant-Jazz thing. Which leads to a final spoken-word thing over an industrial backing...the perfect fadeout.

Dude is a fucking genius.

I mean, a lot of this is not "Noise", but it's K2, and it is therefore related to / anchored by / informed by Noise.

I fucking loved this. As I said, I seriously need to reconsider CD1. (Which I will do in this thread.)

Yes, this one is seriously kicking my ass, and it deserves much love. 2x20min slabs, live. Perfectly named! 😂

I bought this one a few weeks back in Hollywood---a great one (and a very appropriate name) indeed!  Best $5 I have spent in a long time.

I have yet to check the collab with Wiese.  I heard the disc he did on Chocolate Monk, which contains much of the source he used for that collab; wasn't that great.  I suppose I will keep trying to work my way through the modular era.

Which album was that?  There were certainly moments of "sparkly" sounds that reminded me of his contributions to the recent Merzbow collab (which is my only other reference point for Wiese).

ha  I misunderstood your post as having the "he" refer to Wiese, so I have been looking all over for a John Wiese album on Chocolate Monk with no success!  Thanks!
