Hey! If you're into power electronics and death industrial, definitely check out the latest from Prurient and Whitehouse. Both have dropped some killer tracks that really push the boundaries. Also, Jute Gyte has been doing some interesting stuff blending different styles.

Quote from: jdumpster424 on September 11, 2024, 08:04:37 PMHey guys I've been super out of the loop lately. Anything good come out recently ( in the last year or two) as far as power electronics or death industrial? I'd appreciate any recommendations if anyone has any. Thank you!
Maligna Cerebra - Repulsion
This tape is very good. It sounds similar to Disgusting Sanctum, but sparser mostly.

Cranial Blast

Cannot recommend M.I.A. enough, especially the last couple releases by Phage, those were both very good!

Can you please be more specific on what tracks you are referencing? Prurient are widely schizophrenic in style and output between Dom hyper productive output. Also given Whitehouse ceased activity in 2007, I'm not clear on reference to what of theirs your are referring to. Thanks.

You are perhaps correct. Not that I had heard of Jute Gyte before - but I see that their 39 albums (thirty fucking nine??!!) released since 2006 have all passed me by!

But what is the logic here - a Jute Gyte paid bot service to increase promotion? Completely clueless on how all this works.

Usually the purpose is something more sinister, like gathering personal information etc...

Seems like total bot or more likely astroturffer or even the artist himself to me.

Into_The_Void

Infibulation, the last CD out on Breathing Problem Productions. One of the few contemporary projects I listened to and had awakened my attention, really nasty evil shit.

Thanks for the tip! I listened Abysmal Providence from Bandcamp, and the foul and dark atmosphere hit home right away. Even though label says it's heavily inspired by Taint, Infibulation sounds like an entity of it's own. I need to get this on cd now, https://breathingproblem.bandcamp.com/album/infibulation-abysmal-providence

Got a whole damn box of 100 of those CDs if BPP runs out and anyone wants a copy.

New 1.5 hour full length out on Fusty Cunt sometime very soon. Much more vile than Abysmal Providence.

InspiratoryStridor.

Big fan of Club Of Rome by Stress Orphan. Enjoyed the No Rent tape and 7" single, and was floored by their performance at Summer Scum in 2023.

From the minds behind Detrimental Effect and Herukrat. Excellent stuff.

This was mentioned a couple of times over in the playlist thread as well which made me check it out. And it might be one of my favorite releases so far this year.

It'd be worth it for the first track alone (Violence Is My God) which absolutely KILLS, but the rest of the tape holds that standard well. Like was said there, it isn't bending any conventions in pe, but something about it still feels new, fresh, and vital. A blend of Anenzephalia, Survival Unit, and Am Not...and you can't go wrong with any of that.

Great news, but please try to find a European Distribution. The good times when one could buy from the USA in Europe without being scourged by the Custom are gone.
