Uprooted and suspended, Ramrife presents us with a new set of pneumatophore compositions: painstaking efforts towards stratigraphic liberation, revelatory vestiges and ruins of humanity. Eight pieces embedded in phreatic crystallisations suddenly exposed to aeolian pressures. In 'Desterrado', each track seems to embody an exsul that contains within itself a hermetic biome: enclosures of perseverance in the face of inevitable devastation. Freed from its roots, this 'Desterrado' also presents itself as an expansion and openness to other hues and instrumentation, but always maintaining the slow sinuosity of the courses opened up by river torrents and the consequent harshness of exposure through dryness and erosion. In the end, everything is dust.
