I am curious and wondering what all forum users favorite material by Contagious Orgasm is? There is a slew of different periods and sounds from Contagious Orgasm ranging from noisy industrial beginnings to more ambient/noise approaches later on and curious what some forum members thinks in general by this long standing project. I've always regarded Contagious Orgasm as one of the strongest entries in the Japanese industrial noise phenomenon. My personal favorite work by Contagious Orgasm has become Voltage Controlled Filter. I think that album is a good gateway from Hiroshi's more industrial beginnings, but has enough ambient atmosphere to where one could see where the future of where Contagious Orgasm could go as years later would follow. Obviously Hiroshi has many great releases under Contagious Orgasm, but also curious how other's feel in regards to his work.

Voltage Controlled Filter was the first thing I heard and owned, and thus it became my fave. That is some... 30 years ago, damn time flies! I only have a handful of his releases, but they are all good stuff. Amazing artist and great variety of sounds.

From the Irresponsible Country Sound  --- of course!

I think greatness of that CD is not only about being first exposed to it (might have been my first, but not sure), but it is also great packaging and music is superior compared to pretty much anything. Old tapes - great. Then this CD he seemed to reach formerly unheard level of quality. Same is on Hydrophobia 7" which is really killer. Ant-Zen label CD that is also special packaged CD is almost as good, but perhaps notch less than VCF album.
Despite beats and drum machines are for sure intergral part of CO since it started, I like his work the most when it is sort of abstract industrial without obvious beats. There was that period of times in 00's when material seemed a bit more "warm" and playful which is my least favorite era, but these days CO releases vary from artist seemingly seeking to experiment and expand approach and more classic sound collage style I like the most.
Still today, especially in days most stuff is accessible via bandcamp, its good to keep eye what he is doing. This old acts rarely remain as relevant as CO has been!

The packaging is really good indeed! It definitely feels a bit more experimental and abstract in some ways compared to other chapters of his work, that often feel almost more ambient at times, like the mentioned 00 era. Contagious Orgasm is certainly one to keep an eye on, cause you never know what Hiroshi might surprise you with. It might be something not initially expected at first.

One thing is also that he has never given interview, and at least years ago told that will never do so. CO remains largely mystery that quite little information besides the existing releases?
