Chicago Noise

Anyone know what happened to the Chicago noise scene. Did it die with Club Rectum?

Kind of died after the fiasco that went down when we did Varnish II fest. It hung on for a bit, but since Omar really held it all together, once Rectum went away, that was a coffin nail.

Think there is still an audience for a noise fest in Chicago? Kind of messed up that we don't have one (that I know of).

If you build it, they will come. Lots of different scenes in the surrounding states / cities that I'm sure would make the trek if the fest looks interesting.

Endangered Species is it I think. The guy behind it just did a show the other night at some art loft.
