Figured it would be time to do a official topic for the podcast, updates will be posted here from now on.

NOISECAST is a podcast about noise and noise culture, started out few years back as Finnish only podcast, but has shifted to english content starting from 2026. Occasional Finnish content might still appear, if person who is interviewed preffers so, for example. New episodes come irregulary regulary, no release schedule set in stone, but longer periods of silence are avoided. Relase platforms are Youtube and Spotify.

Noisecast also is always looking for new people to join the crew, if you have interesting live report, interview or such please be in contact here or via email; noisecast666@gmail.com

Latest episode #28

Episode 28 takes us back to February in Lahti, where Viimaa & Villasukkia event took place once again. It's been a several year tradition, and once again this year line up did not disappoint. Noisecast delivers a report from the event. Also few new'ish noise tapes are under the scope which are;

Kneel - In Sickness and Hate
Monocyclocybercilia - Lyserkinesis
Fišnarka - Lysohalvien Radio

Hakaristi

Good one! Gotta pick up that Kneel tape, sounds like a solid addition to the legacy of Finnish filthnoise.

Also very much enjoyed the Grunt interview. Great to gain some insight into the more recent works, have been revisiting each album with fresh ears. And a treat to see the original album artworks up close. Due to cultural ignorance had no idea the Man Without Heart logo is a war memorial sculpture, was always curious about its origin.

EPISODE #29

Noisecast went to Turku to check out Dead Door Unit while he was on European tour. On the same bill was also Tryptich, Invagination, Jazzhand and Rautakymi, so needless to stay the night was stacked. Here you hear a collective of gentlemen discussing the evening in the night of Turku. Discussion also wanders off to talk about rehearsing live noise to pondering what wool sock noise actually is?

Decent episode! Perhaps a bit nerdy correction, but there indeed was also synth in DDU live. Baby blue synth by Jessica Rylan. It creates unpredictable and broken sounding things. Invagination indeed had little obstacles with mute/solo buttons in the beginning, but surprising amount of bass feedback. Curious thing was that I instructed that monitors should be fairly quiet so there is no excessive feedback, and next thing is that like the report says, monitors are moving on the floor due bass vibrations, hah!

Additional info & reports of this tour will be coming out on SI website sometime soon!

Had it not been for those monitors, there would have been no helmet.

Technical difficulties provide a win in the end.
