Used to play bass in a sludge band (think Eyehategod, Iron Monkey, etc), gave that up a while ago. Currently not doing any solo work, although for about 4 years I've been playing Japanese taiko drums with a group here in Melbourne, plus also one year with a group in Japan. There's something very primal and powerful in those drums that I don't experience with any other kind of music or instrument.
Other than music and East Asian affairs, my main interest is whisky.
