Yeah, when I saw that artwork I almost burst out laughing but then I started to cry because it was so bad.

Carpenter sure likes the name 'Bernard'.

you can get a good taste of the raw audio from the SLAUGHTER HOTEL tape loop / delay soundtrack from the intense trailer here:

Any clips of that "Slaughter Hotel" soundtrack available online? Sounds quite tasty.

Raro released it on blu-ray/dvd in the U.S. last year. I have their Italian dvd.

Cannibal Holocaust is up on Mondo & for those in the rest of the world, One-Way Static. There are online variants & store variants so it's not a stupid super limited release.

Bit of a warning: Mondo is charging $7 for postage (media, I'm guessing) so lube up in advance. I contacted Mondo to cancel & refund. That much for shipping plus state tax is too fucking much. Before paying, Mondo's site read as if tax/shipping together was $7.

So far I have only seen 3 different versions and all of them looks fucking lame. Will probably buy the one that's the easiest to get. At least the CD I have has very nice artwork.

Watched THE WANDERERS again recently.
Always forget how atmospheric and creepy the fight scene music is during any of the Ducky Boys encounters.

Mondo will be releasing PHANTASM in the near future. Death Waltz has 3 soundtracks going up from pre-order tomorrow including KILLER NUN (sample I listened to wasn't that interesting) & One-Way Static has 3 that will go up next week including MARK OF THE DEVIL.

MotD has interesting moments but I'd only purchase it if it has artwork from the film (the booklet in the new Arrow blu release is packed with killer imagery). PHANTASM is a fave but the art stinks. It's another that needed the original poster art used.

i have to say the i've found the avalanche of soundtrack releases in the past year or two to be completely overwhelming. despite the tasty art on some of the LPs, it seems like most of the music isn't really worth releasing. especially with the $$$$$ price tags on a lot of the stuff.

one thing that has peaked my interest is the vinyl release for the Wicked City soundtrack. but sadly the label decided to go with some hideous art that's truly perplexing, especially when any screen cap from the film would've worked just fine.

"The Guest" was so so as a film in my humble opinion. Not bad but not great. The main actor stressed the hell out of me.

As I was watching the film, I was like "man, that reminds me of some Steve Moore stuff, I'll have to listen to "Light Echoes" later tonight", and when I checked the credits, I realised it was him. The OST should be good.

I'd also like to add that I also find the amount of new OSTs being released overwhelming and especially overpriced. I really dislike Death Waltz as a label. Good music most of the time but stupid prices for cheap presentation, ugh.

I wonder if "Turkey Shoot"' OST is out. It should be an interesting one.

Nice artwork for WHAT HAVE YOU  DONE TO SOLANGE?:

On Dagored. I haven't seen anything about who will have it in the U.S. I think Forced Exposure distro's the label.

Lenzi's EYEBALL is getting a reissue, too. I didn't notice which label is releasing it.

Dagored is my favorite soundtrack label for sure! Always classy artworks and great giallo stuff.
