PSF records suggestions and talk

Been bumping lots to P.S.F records during last few weeks... These two have been particulary good:

Toho Sara

Droney & shamanistic ritual temple music featuring interesting artists such as Acid Mothers Temple`s Makoto & La Musica founder Asahito Nanjo.

Che-SHIZU

Folky stuff thats wandering somewhere between improvisation and structured songs. Founded by Chie Mukai in 1981.
Fun Fact: did a cassette to John Duncan`s AQM label in the 80`s.

[Zeno Marx]

Was thinking about The Time is Nigh, but went with The Wisdom Prepared 1998 instead.  A 75-minute clusterfuck of pure power.  A band, sounding like a band, at its most furious.  The problem is that it wasn't enough.  Get sucked into their hole, and you really don't want to climb out of it.  What album next?  Try this one.  Nah, that won't do.  Try that one.  Nah, that one won't do.  Fuck it.  The Time is Nigh.

Not PSF records, but I listened a lot to Les Rallizes Dénudés in the last couple weeks. For example, CITTA'93 and Live'77, damn they are great, when you're in the right mood.

Aural Fit II (PSFD-179): Fucking psychedelic full blown and loud as hell!
Mainlainer: Mellow out (Also not on PSF, but still great and heavy shit!)

I like what Zeno Marx wrote in the last post on this topic: "Get sucked into their hole, and you really don't want to climb out of it."
So it just goes on and on, because it won't be enough, never.

I think it was last year when I fixated on MC5's "Kick Out the Jams".  The song, not the album.  The proto-punk, proto-Discharge angle hooked me after all these years of hearing it a different way.  I dug and dug for more like it, and it mostly took me back to a revised perspective on Mainliner, High Rise, and certain Japanese garage adjacent rock.  I never really cared for High Rise a lot, but they were the treasure in all this.  Their Live 1994 album in particular got stuck in my head for months.  I was always disappointed in Mainliner too, outside of Mellow Out, but then the other albums made more sense, like Imaginative Plain.  I listened to that album more in a month than I had all the other years combined.  Got re-hooked on all things Nanjo too.  There were some other groups from around the world that turned out to be interesting, but most of the jet-fueled garage rock that satisfied that itch came from Japan.  I have to think MC5 had a substantial presence in Japan, sort of like how Chaos UK did for Japanese punk and hardcore.
