Please no shitty pics of good bands, but good photos of all sorts of noise welcome!
I urge to post links or sample pics from something one feels suitable for topics.
Please write name of performer and credit photographer if possible!

What constitutes as "good noise live photo"?
-captures atmosphere of moment and includes some advanced technical skill.
What is bad live noise photo?
-the usual phone/digi-tourist snapshots, generally low quality digital artifacts, flat to no atmosphere killed with bright flashlight. Having no eye on framing, timing or composition.

I do not say, that "good" couldn't be boring and "bad" couldn't look wild & interesting for some, but in this topic, GOOD PHOTOGRAPHY is basically according to what you would like to see on pages of photography book. Not what you see in recollections of last fridays bar evening posted on facebook.

What are you rubbing on that huge wrench?

contact-mic'ed metal-"cup". Same as in other image used for vocal drones & slinky reverb noises.

Pretty happy with this picture I took of KOEFF performing in Stockholm in 2010 (?), with a real shitty Nokia phone camera. I like the roughness but obviously it's not a "good" photo...

Mobile phone or not, that's a good photo.

HASSOKK live in Vilnius, Flux Platform (a house/platforom that is built on the river).
The photo itself gives away the mood of the evening fully.

Awful gig photos (together with crap youtube clips) has become such a plague that it sometimes ruins memories of fine events. It makes the few photographers who actually know and care about what they're doing very precious. Two people that spring to mind are Benny Serneels in Belgium:

Then there's Karolina Urbaniak in London. Can't find a place where her live photos are assembled but as soon as there's been a gig in London here excellent photos tend to pop up. I asked her especially to photograph the last Unrest festival to counteract the usual shite death by flash pics that tend to follow any cencert. I'm glad I did.

If moving images may be included I'd like to give praise to Ararrath for standing out from the crowd.

Promoting good live pics is a great idea.

These photos are excellent. Any plans on releasing live Grunt footage again? I'm in the U.S., so seeing it live is an extremely rare opportunity. I'm always curious about the video footage projected behind you.

Perhaps some will be done next year.

I remember when RRRecords was planning to do noise live photo "coffee table book". It was good idea, thinking how well done photobooks could capture moments in history in different way than videos or written texts. However, submitted photos were most of all crappy "tourist" quality snapshots with total atmosphere killing flashlight, dull "framing" and uninspiring artistic touch in general. It would be nice to see moments where true atmosphere is capture.
