I know there was topic on Troniks I started there as well. Don't exactly remember what was said, but luckily it spawned not only some Lunde stuff to be re-issued (and more to come - who'd say forums are useless!?) but also perhaps indirectly got him inspired to start again. Perhaps due his dislike to join & promote his activities on forums, many seems to not know what has been done.

Trait anti-tape last year perhaps finest of the anti-tapes I've seen.

Actual recordings, limited to 177 copies ERIC LUNDE/KOMISSAR HJULEN split LP came out not too long ago. (suomi jätkät ehkä löytänee sarvesta..). EL side is fucking great. It is kind of mixture of his old rotten sounds with little twist of modern time. It is relatively clear and sometimes crisply distorted, but for most of the time it is damn rotten. First song is physical tape loop. You can see photo of the 2 separate devices with long tape between them grinding in loop. Distorted, harsh, and gruosome physical analogue damage. You can't simulate this. 2nd song is more of industrial piece, which has pulsating rhythmic sound. On top some feedbacks. It has very coarse edge. It has live reverb/delay treatment, the climax end is phenomenal in it's high pitched feedbacking rawness.
3rd and last piece is live on site recording of two air separation tanks. Supreme hiss and resonance which is like perfect industrial noise even while artists does very little. Only complaint is the short length of it.

Recently came in mail some CDR + DVDR set in cardboard gatefold including sound of old found video and the video itself. Yet to watch or listen. And some other CDR (or CD?) I have yet to see what its about. Having heard some advance material of his works lead me to think it has some route to travel to meet the standards of old times, but now with this LP heard - I may have to take my words back. It is good. It is something very nice from pretty much outsider what comes to "scene" of today. When his recordings are done with the old "dated" methods, it actually sounds fresh to me.

Trait - Inspirationals is pretty much a perfect album in my opinion.

Only Lunde title I've come across that has let me down was the recent 30x30 Short Bursts Of Light LP - I'll give it another go eventually - but first listen didn't leave much of an impression.

Dead Edits tape - Lunde and Blake from Vertonen - that came out on Fluxus Montana last November is insanely good. Better than their previous collabos and no small highlight in their separate discographies.

This dates back to 2011 what was one of the busiest years of Lunde in terms of putting out stuff. At least 6 releases came out, most on CD. Year before Freak Animal had released CandyhOle CD, which I stubbornly value as the best Eric Lunde new material, even if I released it myself. This tape has many things in common. Some of vocal manipulations are similar, but I think glitchy sound on A-side is not as tasty as it was on CD. CandyhOle style made it hard to digest, but there was something that made me listen it over and over again and finally concluded it is masterpiece. Some similarity to it here, but just not as good. B-side hits harder on tape, while A-side is based more on vocal manipulations.

Surprisingly one could recommend this to even fans of IFOTS in some ways. Sharp and electric sound, repeating rhythmic patterns what makes it almost like industrial/p.e. even if it certainly fits to artistic experimental category.

ERIC LUNDE "Neither Lot nor Sums" tape

I just listened to this tape for the second time. While I didn't like it much at first listen a few months ago, it seemed much better now, and indeed there's some similarity with IFOTS (something I'd not have thought of myself). The vocals are still a little too "artsy" for me, but overall, thanks to the music, it's still a good tape.

I don't have the Dead Edits tape, but I will firmly recommend the other work of Dead Edits, namely two CDRs that were limited to 57 copies or so, and one came with an art zine of sorts.

I'd say the album description by the label is pretty spot on-
"This disc is, for these ears, "classic" Lunde; tape cassette manipulation, modulation, and endless reduplications and permutations. If you like Lunde, this will be a welcome chapter in his ongoing audio explorations. If you aren't familiar with Lunde, I'd say imagine audio that has spices of Chop Shop, EVP, and John Duncan mixed into a batter of barren lands and be prepared to go on a rather unusual, and unequivocally individual, journey."

I remember hearing something really excellent at WZRD, I can't find it on discogs, but it was a tape from 1989 with a yellow xerox j-card.  I can't tell what it was, but it sounded like really gritty, bassy field recordings, but also with Hafler Trio style movements of effects or modulations.  The title of the cassette was something concerning authenticity or originality/fraud, and it had extensive liner notes, I didn't have time to read it while I was on the radio. 

I did enjoy Neither Lot Nor Sums.  I love that he covered a Warren Zevon track on that one.  Wish it was a little longer of a tape though.

On the split Lp with Illusion of Safety, only the IOS is live. Holeist was recorded in Lunde's living room. It's a very good record & prices are reasonable. The Lunde/Hands To Lp is worth the dough, too. I remember getting my copies from Jeph Jerman way back when.

Karl J. Palouček has been a member of Boy Dirt Car, alongside Eric Lunde. Before doing excellent solo music, he was also involved in Shrilltower duo, that was part of The Happiest Place/Tapes On Earth "team".
"Musique De L'Industrie" contains unreleased recordings from 1990.

Has anyone ran across a reason why Lunde had AWB stop distributing the de Sade cassette? I still have that but I do not recall ever hearing anything about back then.

I'd like to see a slew of Boy Dirt Car cd's get released of all of the early tapes.  I think a couple of them are in a  vinyl box set RRR released.

I know of Shrilltower, they had an anglegrinder disc as a single. Karl J. Paloucek's solo stuff is very good too, I have two albums and they are good.

It may be quite blatant self promotion, but I do honestly believe that from his "new" works, Candyhole (on Freak Animal) was phenomenal CD that beats pretty much all his other stuff easily. It is 100% unique too. No other release like that comes to my mind. Then Industrial Recollections re-issues of old Lunde stuff, those were him at his best at those times. Excellent releases, I'd say - and I believe Lunde also though those were his best old works.
