www.soundohm.com in Italy have a great selection.

At least in my case they were very slow and I never received one of the items but great selection nevertheless.

I think Untergeschoss (from Finland) should also be listed.
http://untergeschoss.blogspot.fi/

Quite minimal selection but at least good stuff and all the releases are top notch!

Is White Centipede Noise still active? His blog hasn't been updated since summer '12. He carried quite a few titles. Maybe he is neglecting the blog; hope he hasn't ceased activity.

Is Fusetron still around? I know I've looked at his site but not sure how much noise he carries.

I did an order with WCN a month or two ago. He took a little bit to respond, and a couple of items listed on the site were out of stock, but he's still going.
Where we're from, the birds sing a pretty song and there's always music in the air.

In addition to a label and press I am developing, Where frost reign, I run a small distro with handpicked items within music, art and literature.

Used to be a really good noise/experimental distro in Northern Norway. Cannot remember the name now. Maybe Marhaug have a clue?

Despite the odd diplomacy and humor ("they have everything!  but they only send you some things."), I'm going to take that as code for "Soundohm are ripoffs."  Unless I'm running into a bit of dementia, that's the only possible way to read your experience.  Fuck that.  Fuck them.

I only buy vinyl, d00ds.

In my experience he's not a ripoff, he's "just" very disorganized (by his own admission). Granted, that doesn't matter if you don't get something you've paid for. But I would've thought he'd have sent that item separately that he didn't include (mentioned in a previous post)... Soundohm's  record in my case: forgetting to include items, including stuff again that I already got the last time, and even forgetting to send a package once. However, I keep ordering from him because I can withhold payment until I receive everything; he also has a huge selection (although there's little overlap with this forum's genres) and mainly because beyond a certain amount, he sends packages via free registered post worldwide. If I didn't have these reasons, I wouldn't bother, but as it is, for me it's worth ordering from him.

(are there any good neo-folk distros in the USA?)

i believe that i heard a guy from the band Cult of Youth opened up a place in the bushwick neighborhood of Brooklyn that is supposed to have a quite good selection of such things, including some noise and industrial (bought all of Hospitals shit from them when they closed shop). That is where my info stops though, they might still be open though

I think I should clear my post a little. I did in fact receive the item but it was defective and despite many promises, he didn't send me a replacement product. But then again, in the end it all comes down to pretty much same conclusion. I mean, even though I received the item, what can I do with it if I can't play it. On the bright side, I just recently ordered something from the label of who released the item and mentioned them about the defective product and they promised to include some extra into my order so now it's all good.
So, if you are willing to wait month or two and be lied at, then order from SoundOhm but if you think that's bs, then don't even bother. I think I had enough of them but in case they have something that I'm not able to find elsewhere, I would place an order.

QuoteDidn't know Ars Macabre is still going! Bought some stuff from them back in 1998 or so..

the last catalog update was 15.02.2012  so, not sure if they are still going.  being an international forum, surely someone knows?

have ordered 3 Weeks ago some Muslimgauze CDs, so they are active. The Online Mailorder is also Up to Date, but no News Section. He sells also on Discogs. Is one of the Best Places to go in Rostock.

I am pretty much a regular customer at Soundohm, but living in the same city I have the chance of going directly to his warehouse when making my purchases, so I have never experienced the kind of problems you guys are talking about. What I can say is that the guy running it is extremely kind and an overall good bloke, a very decent fellow, so I'm inclined to think that all his mistakes are done in good faith. He's just really un-organized as a person, I guess. A friend of mine who lives elsewhere and orders from him has also experienced hiccups like missing items etc., but the guy always straightened things out in the end. And yes, their selection is huge, the problem is that the catalogue on the website isn't updated in real time and that could be a pain sometimes.

i have a friend selling me two Bizarre Uproar cds for 27 total dollars. can someone explain why postage is so high in finland to us? maybe someone can post an american distro that distributes freak animal/filth&violence stuff with cheaper postage. not trying to raise the ire of Mikko. most of my metal cds were anywhere from 5 bucks to 13 bucks minus postage. i dont understand.

burdizzo

No, but then nor do I know why US postage rates are so high. I recently sent a CD to America for 1.65 euros, but to get one from America, it would cost $11 - more than the price of the CD. Prohibitively expensive, I'd say.

jesusfaggotchrist

thats why im looking for US distributors to save me the hassle of ordering overseas
