OUT NOW on Sincope!

FRANCISCO MEIRINO "Beyond Repair" CD
new solo work for this extremely creative sound artist.
Eleven short tracks for modular synth, home made electronics and tape recorders. A true union between coarse substance of analogical devices and voltage of tense electronics. The core of Beyond Repair is the fusion of its contrasts. Permanent tension between chiselling and bare deconstruction, meditation and frontal sound, cold stasis and unstable dynamics.  Eleven tracks that run without pause as a single composition that hits like a strong cut-up aggression. An active fragments path irreparable, almost elusive but real sharp in his objectivity. Runs fast and affects the listener on an intuitive level as flashes. A set which stops roughly and leaves the feeling of intuition. It does not reveal, but it makes his little lighting.

review on italian webmag THE NEW NOISE:
http://www.thenewnoise.it/francisco-meirino-beyond-repair/

"In keeping the cd in my hands I immediately thought of when I purchased discs by mail order in the nineties, hardback graphic very similar to those of the time and few informations about the artist, a world to discover (now, not deny it, with the web know a little 'more things). Beyond Repair finds his place thanks to our Sincope which continues to explore the most difficult lands of the composite European undergrowth and that it seems to do of the "noise" a real reason for life. The Spanish musician comes from a long series of publications (early in his career he became known as Phroq) for various labels and in all possible formats: among many others, a recent Entr'acte cd with greek Ilios, a collaboration with Dave Phillips and a cassette for Musica Moderna by Claudio Rocchetti. He is not a born yesterday, in conclusion, and it shows in this work, consists of eleven short tracks (and untitled) that go all more or less to one and derailed direction (there are enough alarmism sound of the sixth track, in addition to the tithe, terminal and bruised ). The instruments used are the usual for this action field: modular synth, poor electronics and tape recorders and you can tell that the result centers the target in full. It is a feast for devices seemingly out of control (see the stunned final piece) emitting Morse aliens signals and curious flicker, but all is not so aggressive, in truth. Recommended to hardened listeners of this genre releases."
