RP-006: Developer C20
What can I say about Developer? Fans of the project already know the level of intensity coupled with focus and technique to expect, and Matthew Reis definitely "brings it" to this release... there is also a tense, wavering meditative or 'subdued' side to this moment of Developer as well. Definitely one of my favorite releases from this project. Intense cut-ups and strained ambience, in Reis' distinct "harsh-concrète" style.

RP-008: Swallowing Bile - Rustic C20
I had never heard of, or seen Swallowing Bile prior to my being in the front for his set at Summer Scum II... nothing could have prepared me for what happened, I was blown away and immediately knew he belonged on Repentance. "An interpretation of the seedy undercurrent that flows in the stream of many rural towns across the United States." Dense slow-moving walls of harsh noise and insane vocals. "Focuses on the practice of inbreeding, country justice, cover-ups by townsfolk in response to illegal activity, and the secrets that so much of this sub-culture hide." Heavy Power-Electronics from this stalwart young act.

Chicago's Magia Nuda offers to us this slice of seedy, completely analog Power-Electronics. 4 tracks ranging from harsh blasts with dominant vocals, to creepy rhythmic Industrial crawl. M. Golen (of the sadly now-defunct Winters in Osaka) delivers the goods on this truly committed document of electronic punishment.
