Just about every woman I know well, from family to friends, call themselves feminist. It's the done thing. They take the idea that they don't want to be treated like shit and make it how they want to make it. Perfectly acceptable.
It's when you get those who make a career out of being feminists. Which, when you think about it for more than one second, is astonishing. We live in a world where you can make a living out of having opinions. They are, I think, a new breed of intellectuals who want to impose their power over everything in the name of the common good. In other words, business as fucking usual.
My contempt is for any type of aspirational ruling class who want to use words and concepts as their tools. My success rate is zero, but at least, here, I can have a good sneer at them. Wankers.
