It's sort of a new generation, perhaps best exemplified by the likes of Gavin McInnes and Jim Goad. Circumstances like the fact that "PC" is now a big business and government doctrine (prone to engaging in more or less repressive censorship), the insistence on stuff like having men invading women's toilets, and of course actual social problems related to various minorities, but not to "white racism", have made people who probably would have been (or even have been) left wing punks a few decades ago turn "conservative". It has quite little to do with conservatism as an ideology, less to do with the more "traditional" US conservatism of the Bible Belt and nothing what so ever to do with the Beltway republican racket.
It is interesting, either way.
