I don't know if he started Whitehouse with it but he most certainly used it. They're rare because they were very cheaply built (plastic cases and all) with a ribbon-like keyboard, therefore most of them had a very short lifespan.

There are VSTs of it around. I don't know how they compare to the real thing but they're cool to use.

So 2 grand for one is probably a bit silly. If it's one that they used then I'm pretty sure that it's the one they started with, it was a wasp something.

I've played a wasp with slightly dying batteries, so horrible/great.

I've decided that I must have an addictive personality. Just before Christmas last year I decided I finally had everything I need, but now suddenly it seems that while life may be possible without a Koma Electronics Field Kit, a Lyra 8 and a Malekko Mr. D., it certainly will not be worth living.

16 channel matrix mixer, it's like £3000ish tho it seems :(

Euro Trash Bazooka

Can you just explain to me what's so special about it to justify its price. I'm not too familiar with mixers per se, I just plug myself in there when I have to use a PA but besides that...

That's not even expensive for a pro audio mixer...  :)   Anyway what's special about this one is that it's a matrix mixer, you can mix any inputs into any outputs for complex routing... Its intended for controlling how much of each instrumentsnt/mic goes to each band members monitors/headphones but it would be amazing for controlling multiple complex feedback loops and fx chains, real David Tudor setups :)

Oh man, now that makes total sense, thank you.

I have a Soundcraft mixing desk that I used for 10 minutes after some water and shit got spilled on it  and ruined it. There are lots of short circuits in it. I wonder if it's still safe to use it and try making feedback with it or if it can make my house burn if I plug it and use it... Opinions?

I take absolutely no responsibility if you burn your house down or electrocute yourself but I'd just try it, probably at worse a fuse would blow.
