Quote from: FreakAnimalFinlandBands, labels.. new and old. Huge amount of things what go totally under radar for vast amount of people and if someone would even merely mention them, we could perhaps see how "underground network" works. People recommending interesting stuff to others. Not only merchants and consumers.

Let's start a topic around this. What are some hidden gems you have found? Those tapes that never get mentioned but you love? The labels that deserve recognition but get none?

Personal hidden gem of the moment is kvlts - feasting tape. Amazing harsh noise with great production yet I haven't seen anyone mention them ever. Nothing mind blowing or new but great for your daily dose of harshness.

Pretty much anything by Blodvite for those who like murky industrial noise. For Vivenza-esque sounds, check Orquere and Enklav. Everyone, now, go and buy yourselves the CD reissue of Alfarmania's "From Fix To Fix"! Arguably the best recordings from Kristian so far. BOTC "Pisslepra" is one of the most filthy, broken and demented power electronics/industrial mash-ups I have ever heard. Simply flawless! Gaze Campaign: Needs proper sized reissue! Kommando R.J.F. "Sweet Slow Suicide" = modern day classic in the making! For quality USPE, check Machismo's "Severe Disconnect". Those guys are angry! Liver Mortis made his share of successful recordings, from MO worship of "The Ideal Pain-Forms" to somewhat Con-Dom type hate sermons of "Scissored Out". But "Suited Treatment" is the one that really rooted deep. Totally rotten, filthy nigga PE. S.T.A.B. Electronics is one of those projects I simply can't get enough of. Can't stop, won't stop, will never ever stop!

For actual "hidden gems", I can only think of one: Stahlnetz "Widerstandsgruppe Günther / Schmidt". Sounds like fine mix of "Thank Your Lucky Stars" era WH and The Sodality.

YT links: Blodvite | Orquere | Enklav | Alfarmania | BOTC (not from "Pisslepra" but this is the best alternative) | Gaze Campaign | Kommando R.J.F. | Machismo | Liver Mortis | Stahlnetz (not from "Widerstandsgruppe Günther / Schmidt" but good track nonetheless) | S.T.A.B. Electronics? Buy everything already!

Also, every aryan PE guy should look for 2xCS version of "White Power". Vinyl is solid but misses some essential material. CD reissue... should happen?

THE RITA HN

They're rapidly gaining their own recognition, but I've been listening to a lot of POWER MONSTER [vicious 90s American style HN] and MASTURBATORY DYSFUNCTION [real deal visceral Atrax Morgue worship].

The Enemy LP by Skin Graft is one of the best industrial albums ever made, from any era. Most who have heard it agree, but I think the pressing was small. His is a name most know, but this album doesn't get spoken of a lot. It is up there with legendary releases like Great Death, Dedicated To Peter Kurten, Mind Control or any other pillar releases! A must if a copy can still be found...

Sex Headache, self titled tape.
http://www.discogs.com/artist/3360211-Sex-Headache
Very good, very unusual sound, cruddy and low fi but not necessarily layers of filth. Not loud, but distorted and dirty. Difficult to tell what the sources are. Sounds like it was recorded over the phone, has a very unique sound to me. Duo. Female vocals, sullenly spoken, reciting the lines with no emotion. Lyrics provided, very domination based. Only two tracks on one sided tape, both short. Very glad I've got this, it's one of those things that really do just pop up then disappear. There's a more recent release (https://obscurevanity.bandcamp.com/album/lotion-collector-2) but it doesn't have quite the same lo-fi appeal as the tape.

Sterilization, Wipe The Slate Clean tape.
http://www.discogs.com/Sterilization-Wipe-The-State-Clean/release/2214896
More low fidelity crudity, this time with more obvious synthesiser source. The vocals go from fairly clean to deliberately rasped, sounding both silly and disturbing for it. According to the label, "new project from someone who wishes to remain anonymous, but acknowledges that he has been a part of "normal scene" for the past 10 years". The label goes on to warn "The B side of this release consists of one tape loop repeating for the entirety of the recording. DO NOT BUY THIS AND THEN COMPLAIN THAT I RIPPED YOU OFF. Consider it a one sided tape if you want". I like a don't-give-a-fuck attitude like that. The second track on side one is also a repeated loop, a bit hard to make out what's being said apart from "I'll smack the fuck outta you" over someone panting in pain. Pretty much a fuck-you release all up.
Shikata ga nai.

Baglady

A really good one released by G.R.O.S.S that rarely gets mentioned is HYWARE - 2 Tracks. Great tape that has aged very well, and easily one of the better tapes from the early-mid days of the label. Still easy to find at a good price. Actually HYWARE in itself is overlooked. The LP he did with another overlooked project, AMB, and Kapotte Muziek, is really good as well. Released on Praxis Dr Bearmann, still available for 5-10€.

This one: http://www.discogs.com/K2-vs-Hyware-K2-vs-Hyware/release/780518 is really good. HYWARE'S track is probably one of the best in noise music, in my opinion.

Mnem
I always feel that this project should be given lots more credit/exposure. I like all their stuff, but for me 'Engrama' is a highlight. Tape loop based sounds, going from sparse/minimal to crude. It sounds like a lot of thought has gone into their compositions.

Second both Hyware, OP Rechts and Mnem. Hyware's seven inch Hyper Seven Inch is a masterpiece http://www.discogs.com/Hyware-Hyper-Seven-Inch/release/550651 and really cheap.

One of the true hidden gems of the Swedish scene of the late eighties/early nineties is Cruel when Complete. I've been toying with the idea of collecting all the compilation tracks into to one release but I guess there where others at Segerhuva who was better at archeological digs then me.

Memorandum is also someone I hardly sees mentioned anymore. I really like his stuff and pull them out every now and then for a spin.

Oh I forgot Cloister Crime is GREAT Swedish tape from the mid eighties. http://www.discogs.com/Cloister-Crime-Devilish-Songs-For-An-Unredeemable/release/974072
A bit of a rock feel sometimes i.e. Chrome was a BIG influence.
