Hi folks,

I have been drawings for years and recently I took painting. Below are some examples of what I'm doing. I hope you'll find interest in them.

Some might be familiar with commissioned record covers, such as Pyhä Kuolema's Kevättuulisormi LP, Sleep Museum's White Like Summer Sutures LP, as well as photographic work for Slave's Mask's SOAK KAOS, Troum's Mare Morphosis, Otavan Veret, Robert Haigh / SEMA, etc.

And for people living in Helsinki, I have my solo show opening tomorrow in Punavuori, see more in this announcement. Welcome!

They are quite big. I visited gallery yesterday. More precisely, I was standing behind door as it was closed. hah. Well, it was only day I could be (and was anyways) in Helsinki. My criticism would be that I'm personally quite bored with "standard" exhibition concept, where you got huge white gallery walls, and then one piece in middle. Next wall same thing. Next wall, few words on large helvetica type.

I can't be only one, who'd prefer some another format for exhibition. Even utterly cluttered gallery, where every empty slot has been taken into use. It feels little too much tied to old fashioned laboratory-esque museums, where huge white rooms display perhaps just one piece per wall.  I'd like to see different approach.

That all said, anyone in Helsinki, I do suggest to check this out while they can. It's no often when sort of experimental music related artists are on real galleries.

Mikko, thank you for your feedback, but I really think you should try again during opening hours (tue-sun 11-18) as your wishes are definitely heard in the second room.

The "empty walls with one work" visible from the outside are merely there to trick people in :)

As for the size of the works, it really depends. Drawings vary between A4 and A0; paintings from 20cm squares to over two meters.

Very cool. I will definitely check it out if you are ever in Oslo. The big ones look especially great.

Good exhibition. The first large room is merely a sort of anti-space, with only one large (and most recent, I hear) work paired with older anatomic drawings. From there, the space is transformed into a womb or church-like white grotto, walls, ceiling and floor splattered with more full-colored works done with many different techniques: oil paintings, experimental small photos, crude paintings on sack cloth etc. Hard to say, if the space is large or small. The composition goes so well with the scattered works. This all is ended with a negative birth canal experience in a dark room, with two paintings.

Meaty and cold.
